The Prairie Bunkers/Great Plains Team:

Pam Brown, Founder and formerly Chief Executive Officer and President of Prairie Bunkers, passed away recently after a courageous battle with cancer.  In addition to her business experience as a consultant for strategic marketing, public & governmental relations, including experience with IT-internet research issues Pam was an outstanding Nebraska State Senator from an Omaha-area district for three terms.  During her service in the legislature, she was active in the areas of economic development and information technology, including the creation and funding of the public-private Peter Kiewit Institute for Information Science, Technology, and Engineering with the University of Nebraska. She also led the state government role in the recruitment and location of manufacturing facilities in the state and had extensive relationships and contacts among business, professional and political leaders in the state and nationally.  Pam was a leading advocate for early childhood education and the author of legislation for early-childhood education in Nebraska. Pam received many honors during her lifetime and the accolades of her colleagues in the legislature and Omaha-area governments, including being named one of the Top 10 Young Omahans and election to leadership positions in civic organizations.  She will be missed at Prairie Bunkers and we re-dedicate ourselves to our mission in remembrance of Pam.
